## Clean records from official data

Company records decay: names get misspelled, statuses go stale and identifiers go missing. Enrichment resolves each record against the register and fills what you are missing, from the official source rather than a scraped copy.

## What company data enrichment fills

The profile returns every field the register publishes, normalised into one company model:

- Legal name and any former names
- Status and legal form
- Registered address
- Identifiers, such as a company number or a VAT number
- Activity codes and registration dates

These are firmographics: the factual attributes of a business rather than of a person. Sales and revenue teams call the same job CRM enrichment, and it is the same call. The data comes from official registers, with consistent fields across jurisdictions.

## A worked example

Fetch a company by jurisdiction and number:

```bash
curl "https://api.corpoapi.com/v1/companies/se/5567370431"
```

The fields below are from a real, active record in the Swedish company register, returned by our own end-to-end checks:

```json
{
  "jurisdiction": "se",
  "company_number": "5567370431",
  "legal_name": "Klarna Bank AB",
  "status": "active",
  "legal_form": { "code": "AB-ORGFO", "name_local": "Aktiebolag", "name_en": "Limited company" },
  "address": { "line1": "ARSC, DC24000", "city": "GÖTEBORG", "postcode": "40508", "country": "SE" },
  "identifiers": ["SE-ORGNR", "EU-VAT"]
}
```

The same run confirmed two things: the profile returns the identifier set for the company, and a lookup for a number the register does not hold returns a 404 with a `company_not_found` envelope rather than an empty record.

## Where the enriched data goes

A CRM, a data warehouse and a risk file all want the same fields: legal name, status, legal form, address and identifiers. Fill them once from the register, keyed on the company number, and the same record serves sales, finance and compliance instead of each team maintaining its own stale copy.

## Clean records from official data

Company records decay. Enrichment resolves each record against the register and fills the firmographics you are missing, from the official source rather than a scraped copy.

- Resolve names to company numbers
- Fill firmographics: status, address, legal form, identifiers
- One schema into your data model

## Company data enrichment for CRM records

The same data that cleans a warehouse fills a CRM. Enrich an account list with official firmographics so routing, territory and reporting run on the register's values instead of a field someone typed years ago.

- Enrich CRM and account records
- Firmographics from the register: status, legal form, address
- Resolve a trading name to the legal entity

## Batch your whole table

Send a batch of records and get back the resolved company data for each, with per-item results so you can retry only what failed.

- Up to 100 items per call
- Per-item results and errors
- Provenance to keep your data auditable

## FAQ

### What is company data enrichment?

It is filling and correcting the factual fields of a business record, such as legal name, status, address and identifiers, from the official register. The same job is called firmographic enrichment or CRM enrichment, depending on the team.

### What are firmographics?

Firmographics are the business equivalent of demographics: the factual attributes of a company, such as legal form, status, registered address, activity codes and identifiers. They come from the register, not from a scraped profile.

### Can I match on a company name only?

Yes. Search resolves the name to candidates, and you verify the one you want by number for an exact result.

### What fields can I get?

Whatever the register publishes: legal name, status, legal form, registered address, registration dates, identifiers and activity codes. The coverage page lists the fields per register.

### How fresh is the data?

Bulk registers are refreshed weekly, daily sources daily, and live-only registers are read on request. Every response says where the record came from and when.
