The hosted endpoint

One URL, Streamable HTTP, no package to install and nothing to run. The server exposes one tool per API operation and forwards each call to the gateway, so auth, rate limits and billing work exactly as they do for REST.

Eight tools, one per operation. Each maps to a documented endpoint, so a tool result looks like the REST response for the same call.

Authentication

Send your API key as an Authorization bearer header. The server forwards it to the gateway on every call. Listing tools is free; a call without a valid key returns the gateway's 401. Test keys (ck_test_) return fixtures and are never billed.

A real example

A user asks the agent to check a supplier. The agent calls verify_company and gets a verdict back, which is one billable call: one verified company at $0.01, or free inside the 100 free starter calls.

FAQ

Common questions

Do I need a separate key for the MCP server?

No. It uses the same API key as the REST API, created in the dashboard. Send it as Authorization: Bearer, and the server passes it to the gateway on every call.

Does an MCP call cost the same as a REST call?

Yes. One tool call is one API call, metered and rate-limited identically. Listing tools is free, search is free, and a verified company is $0.01 after the 100 free starter calls.

Can I try it without paying?

Yes. The first 100 starter calls are free, and a ck_test_ key returns fixtures and is never billed.

Which clients work with it?

Any Model Context Protocol client that speaks Streamable HTTP: Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT connectors, VS Code, Windsurf and others. The server is one URL, not a package to install.

Is the MCP server open source?

The server is a thin adapter in the public repository. It reads the OpenAPI contract, emits one tool per operation and forwards each call to the gateway, so it adds no auth or billing of its own.
